Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
Fire Log Book Limited — Company incorporated in England & Wales
1. Introduction
Fire Log Book Limited ("the Company") is committed to conducting business ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all its dealings and relationships. We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and fully support the UK Government's objective to eradicate modern slavery, servitude, forced labour and human trafficking.
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It can take various forms, including slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded labour and human trafficking. Fire Log Book Limited adopts a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chain.
As a UK-focused fire safety compliance and digital records provider, we understand that ethical governance, transparency and accountability are essential to building trust with local authorities, schools, care homes and commercial organisations. Our commitment to safeguarding people extends beyond fire safety; it includes ensuring our operations uphold human dignity and lawful working practices.
2. Scope of this Policy
This policy applies to:
- All directors, officers and employees of Fire Log Book Limited
- Contractors, consultants and temporary staff
- Suppliers, service providers and business partners
- Any third party acting on behalf of the Company
Compliance with this policy is a condition of doing business with Fire Log Book Limited.
3. Our Business and Supply Chain
Fire Log Book Limited provides digital fire safety record-keeping systems, training resources and compliance support services within the United Kingdom. Our operations are primarily office-based and technology-driven. Our supply chain typically includes:
- IT hosting and cloud infrastructure providers
- Software development and technical service providers
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting, compliance)
- Marketing and administrative service providers
We assess that the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations is low; however, we acknowledge that risks can exist within broader supply chains, particularly in technology manufacturing, outsourced services or overseas subcontracting arrangements. We therefore take reasonable and proportionate steps to mitigate such risks.
4. Our Commitments
Fire Log Book Limited is committed to:
- Ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking within our own business.
- Implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to reduce the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain.
- Acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships.
- Complying with all applicable employment laws in the United Kingdom, including minimum wage, working time, equality and right-to-work legislation.
We expect the same high standards from all contractors, suppliers and business partners. Where appropriate, contractual provisions may require suppliers to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and applicable labour laws.
5. Due Diligence and Risk Management
Fire Log Book Limited adopts a proportionate and risk-based approach to supplier management. This may include:
- Conducting appropriate background checks on key suppliers.
- Seeking confirmation that suppliers comply with UK employment legislation and, where relevant, international labour standards.
- Including anti-slavery clauses within supplier agreements where appropriate.
- Reviewing supplier relationships periodically to ensure continued compliance.
If credible evidence of modern slavery is identified within our supply chain, we will take appropriate steps which may include investigation, suspension of contracts, termination of business relationships, and reporting to relevant authorities where necessary.
6. Reporting Concerns
All employees, contractors and third parties are encouraged to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery at the earliest possible stage.
Concerns may be reported directly to a Company Director. Reports will be treated seriously and handled confidentially where possible. Fire Log Book Limited will not tolerate retaliation against any individual who raises concerns in good faith.
Where appropriate, matters may also be reported to relevant enforcement bodies, including the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority or other competent UK authorities.

As part of our commitment to high governance standards, Fire Log Book Limited ensures that senior personnel understand:
- The risks associated with modern slavery and human trafficking.
- The legal obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Where the Company grows or expands its supply chain footprint, additional awareness measures will be implemented as appropriate.
